Epitalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly), which is used to control pineal secretion processes. Epitalon exhibits several bioactivities including:

• improving eye retina condition in retinitis pigmentosa;
• anti-ageing by activating chromatin in old age;
• showing anticancer and antitumor metastatic effects;
• and inhibiting osmotic stress-induced pathologic changes.
